Top-5 posts of 2020

Welcome, entrepreneurs! I’m so glad you’re here.

Laura and I are taking the kids to a secluded AirBnB with a hot tub in the Smoky (Second) Mountains for some R(est) & R(elaxation) & R(eflection) between the holidays, so today will be the last issue of Second Mountain Startup for 2020.

Before we look ahead to all there is to do in 2021 — for our personal development, the growth of our companies and the transformation of our society — I thought I’d wrap up the year with a look back at the top writings from 2020, according to you.

Reading all these posts was a great reminder of all that happened in 2020, a year that I’m sure I’ll be telling my grandkids about in 20 years. It may have felt like it was going to kill us at times, and for some of us it tragically did. But most of us are here still, a little wiser, a little stronger, and a little more committed for it.

I am so grateful for each and every one of you crazy dreamers, and honored at you giving me the space to chat with you each week. Thank you for being here.

Let’s get to it.

Most-read writings of 2020

  3. Somewhere, over the rainbow (thoughts on Tony Hsieh)

Executive Coaching for Entrepreneurs

There’s a reason every elite athlete in the world works with a coach. You need more than one perspective to see your best work.

I’m an executive coach and the founder of Inside-Out Leadership, a boutique leadership development agency supporting founders to rapidly scale themselves as leaders, so they can thrive professionally and personally as their company changes the world. Leveraging 15-years as a founder/CEO and a decade of meditation & mindfulness training, I have helped leaders from companies across the world, funded by some of the world’s top venture funds, to design a more conscious life and make key changes to improve their performance and satisfaction. I coach entrepreneurs how I want to be coached:

  • Focused on the person, not the role.

  • Focused on results, without the fluff.
